By applying Henry's law, the amount of dissolved O2 in the blood (at 37 C) can be computed with the following simple formula:
Dissolved oxygen (ml/dl) = PO2  0.003

In whole blood, each gram of hemoglobin can carry approximately 1.34 ml of O2.
