Answer to Question 1

C
About 20 of patients with cystic fibrosis will develop a spontaneous pneumothorax. The other listed problems are not typically associated with cystic fibrosis.

Answer to Question 2

B
If an infant with MAS has air trapping, he or she can suddenly develop a pneumothorax (about 10 to 15 of the time) or pneumomediastinum. PPHN and cardiomegaly are slow to develop.
