Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
The particular type of WBC involved may help to identify the cause of abnormal leukocytosis. For example, an increase in monocytes (monocytosis) would indicate mononucleosis. Lymphocytosis (increased numbers of lymphocytes), a useful indicator of leukemia, can be used to monitor the client's progress and response to treatment. Absolute polycythemia means too many blood cells, particularly red blood cells, and it can be seen in diseases of the bone marrow, chronically low oxygen levels, or a malignancy. Low platelet counts are associated with bruising, bleeding disorders, and hemorrhage.
