No cure for autonomic neuropathy exists, and only symptoms are treated. Laser therapy can be used to curtail pathologic eye changes caused by retinopathy, and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors are used to treat high blood pressure and kidney disease in clients with diabetes.
