Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
A benign lung tumor, or cyst, is characterized on the x-ray film by smooth edges and sharply defined margins. Peripheral tumors usually have no symptoms. If the tumor is in the bronchi, there may be obstruction, causing infection or atelectasis distal to the obstruction. Bronchoscopy and biopsy are usually done to determine the reason for an abnormal shadow in the lung. Treatment is symptomatic. In 80 to 90 of lung cancer deaths, the victims were cigarette smokers.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
Clients who have undergone hip replacement surgery should be restricted from bending more than 90 degrees, such as bending forward to put on shoes, during postoperative care because it can alter the alignment of the affected hip and may lead to various other complications. The client should never be allowed to cross the legs during postoperative care because it can alter the alignment of the replaced hip. The client should never be allowed to turn the affected leg inward and should avoid bending or flexing the hip, which can affect the outcome of the surgery. The client must be given back care every 2 hours, not just twice daily, when on bed rest to avoid circulatory and pressure complications caused by prolonged immobility.

People who have myopia, or nearsightedness, are not able to see objects at a distance but only up close. It occurs when the cornea is either curved too steeply, the eye is too long, or both. This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
