Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
Urticaria, commonly called hives, is characterized by the sudden appearance of edematous, raised pink areas called wheals that itch and burn. Angioedema (swelling) can be a life-threatening condition that is similar to urticaria, but it involves deeper dermal and subcutaneous tissues. Angioedema commonly affects the lips, eyelids, skin, gastrointestinal tract, hands, feet, genitalia, tongue, and larynx. If the larynx becomes edematous, the client may develop severe respiratory distress caused by airway obstruction.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
The nurse would use the following ratio to calculate the dosage:
2.5 mg/1 = 10x
2.5 x = 10
x = 4
