Answer to Question 1

Ans: B
Feedback:
Asking about the client's religious practices is not relevant. Asking if she wants him or her to come back in 15 minutes indicates acceptance of a client's religious practice. Pushing through to complete the required care is incorrect and indicates a lack of respect for the client's religious practice. Leaving the toilet articles on her table for her to use later would probably be disruptive to the client's reading.

Answer to Question 2

Ans: A
Feedback:
The phrase transcultural nursing is used to describe nursing care that incorporates all aspects of a client's culture in planning and providing care. The nurse should not avoid anything that conflicts with his/her beliefs, values, or customs because the emphasis is on client-centered care. The primary goal of transcultural nursing is not compliance with treatment.
