Answer to Question 1

AP and lateromedial

Rationale: Post-op patients will have limited ability to ambulate due to anesthesia and pain level. Two views 90 degrees apart are required. AP will be acquired and then a cross-table or horizontal beam approach will be necessary for the lateral. Placement of the grid should be on the medial surface of the patient's leg and the beam should be directed lateral to medial.

Answer to Question 2

4 feet from the workspace
