 centering is too low

  centering is correctly directed to the midshaft of the humerus

centering is too low

Rationale: Centering on a transthoracic lateral is directed to the surgical neck. The surgical neck is the most common point fractured on the humerus. With centering to the surgical neck, this will allow visualization of this area and the shoulder joint.

Rationale: The image represents the AP projection of the ankle. The medial mortise is open, but the lateral is closed due to natural superimposition of the fibula to the tibia.
