to remove the patient's jewelry that will superimpose anatomy

Rationale: With trauma imaging, the technologist should attempt to remove clothing or jewelry which may obscure essential anatomy. The patient must remain in the c-collar and on the spine board.

Rationale: Milliamperage-seconds, mAs, contributes to the overall blackness of the image. It represents the quantity of radiation produced.
