Rationale: Oblique projections of the chest with the patient in 45 degree anterior oblique positions may be helpful in determination of pathology present in the lung field, mediastinum, and trachea.

lesser tubercle

Rationale: The lesser tubercle is located on the anterior and proximal humerus. The lesser tubercle is best displayed when the arm is internally rotated and the humeral epicondylar plane is situated perpendicular to the image receptor; this shows the lesser tubercle in profile medially.
