Answer to Question 1

electrons produced are increased

Rationale: Higher selection of mA will increase the number of electrons produced inside the tube. The more electrons produced, the more radiation reaches the image receptor, therefore increasing density.

Answer to Question 2

the primary beam

Rationale: The primary beam is emitted from the tube directly. This has not yet been attenuated.
