 a. make the change in chest contour less obvious
  b. prevent formation of hematoma and seroma
  c. provide comfort for the patient when she moves
  d. keep adhesions from forming between the skin and muscle

If a mastectomy is scheduled to follow a breast biopsy and frozen section results indicate carcinoma, what is done?
