Methylene blue dye in sterile saline is recommended for filling the endotracheal tube cuff. If the cuff is perforated, the dye acts as the indicator.

In the Killian procedure, the frontal sinus cavity is reached by removing the floor or anterior wall of the sinus. This forms a large communication and drainage channel into the nose.
