Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
In the creation of an ileal conduit, both ureters are anastomosed to an isolated segment of the terminal ileum near its proximal end. The distal end is everted and sutured to a predetermined stomal site on the skin, usually on the right side of the abdomen below the waist.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: F
Females are predisposed to more urinary tract infections because the urethra is located near the anus and vagina, both of which have resident flora that can cause infection if introduced into the urethra.
