2. rhea-large, flightless bird native to South America that may be pale gray to brown and lack tail feathers
3. broilers-chickens approximately 8 weeks old weighing 1.5 kg or more
4. brood-young that are hatched or cared for at the same time
5. debeaking-removal of about one-half of the upper beak and a small portion of the lower beak in poultry to prevent feather picking, cannibalism, and fighting
