Keep your fingers above your elbows to prevent contaminated water from your arms and
elbows running down onto your freshly scrubbed hands.

Answer to Question 2

The circulating (nonsterile) assistant opens packs, retrieves supplies, prepares the surgical
site, and assists the anesthetist when possible.
