Using the social information processing model, list the six mental steps children engage in before they make a decision and describe what is involved in each of these steps. Give an example of how this model might be used to teach school-age children successful ways to work together to influence social situations.

Social learning theory includes observation and vicarious reinforcement. Examples should include the four processes: attention, retention, motor reproduction, and reinforcement.
