Answer to Question 1

A
Working at a summer camp for underprivileged adolescents in a high crime area is an example of primary prevention. Primary prevention seeks to reduce the incidences of a mental disorder within a given population. In this instance, the nursing, through the summer camp, is attempting to reduce the instance of criminal activity among adolescents, and resulting mental illnesses, before the young people are incarcerated.

Answer to Question 2

A
The care for any mental health client should be provided in the least restrictive environment possible. Mandatory hospitalization is required of individuals who are harmful to self, harmful others, or unable to take care of self. Also, those who are mentally ill, as a group of vulnerable individuals, cannot be forced to participate in research protocols if they are not interested.
