Nurses who practice self-care are in a much better position to be the calm within the storm. They use their hearts and heads to work with people in need. They are in a position to prioritize life and work demands and often find it much easier to claim time for self as a legitimate request to others in their lives. They are encouraged to trust their inner knowing and purpose lets them focus on client needs.
