Answer to Question 1

C
Epidemiology is of value because it allows one to understand how illnesses affect a population. Only through epidemiology can we know accurately how many cases of a given illness occur, who is likely to become ill, and what the impact of that illness is likely to be.

Answer to Question 2

C
Most adults need the traditional 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night, but some adults are short sleepers and function well on only 3 or 4 hours. Persons who function well despite little sleep are not diagnosed with primary insomnia.
