Answer to Question 1

A
Excessive motion, distractibility, and excessive talkativeness characterize attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The behaviors presented in the scenario do not support the distracters. Developmental delays would be seen if pervasive developmental disorder were present. Oppositional defiant disorder would include serious violations of the rights of others.

Answer to Question 2

D
The correct response is the only comment that questions the patient's distorted thinking.
