Once your outline is complete, you can use it to create a script, a published version of your speech, presenters notes from which to work, and a handout for your audience.

Answer to Question 2

Ethics. You have an ethical obligation to tell the audience where your ideas stop and where those of another person begin.
Law. You have a legal obligation to acknowledge information borrowed from a published source.
Courtesy. You owe the audience the courtesy of citing sources for those who may later wish to find additional information on the subject and author.
