Answer to Question 1

A pocket definition is a short, carefully worded explanation that you create in advance and can pull out immediately if an audience member looks puzzled.

Answer to Question 2

If you make a slip of the tongue and your error doesnt really affect the overall meaning of your presentation, let it go. If what you said is substantially different from what you meant, you have an ethical obligation to stop and correct yourself. Dont dwell on your error. Just correct it and keep going. Serious errors that materially change your presentation should be corrected verbally.
