  • You do if youve ever read Elizabeth Barrett Brownings famous sonnet How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count the Ways, which appears in Poems for Further Reading.



Answer to Question 2


  • The title might lead us to assume that the poem is spoken about a dog by its owner, but by the time weve read the first six words it should be clear that the dog is the speaker and it is the owner who is being addressed.
