Noxious weeds are the weeds that are the most difficult to control and cause the biggest problem in a particular region or climate.

Herbicides work by:

1 . Interfering with photosynthesis
2 . Inhibiting amino acids and protein
3 . Blocking cell division (mitotic poisoning)
4 . Blocking pigment formation
5 . Causing uncontrolled growth of plant cells through the application of large quantities of auxins, which block the tissues that transport food and water
