Answer to Question 1

A well-designed centerpiece is low, horizontal, viewed from any side, does not block the view of dinner guests, and could match the shape of the dining table.

Answer to Question 2

The reason cows, goats, and sheep can eat large amounts of fibrous material is because they have multicompartment stomachs that break the roughage down into forms that are usable to the body cells. These animals are often called cud chewers because they regurgitate chunks of feed.
