reason is that a design specification may call for a look lush with tropical foliage, but available light
levels will not support the toughest, low-light, live plants for more than a few months. Some clients
ask about faux botanicals when plant maintenance is not available or not desired. Most of the time,
silks are selected because they act as a trompe loeil, a trick to the eye.
