Plants can be identified through observing the characteristics of their forms, patterns, colors, texture,
and leaf arrangementsin short, the elements of design applied to the plant. Design elements are
classified within the plant world specifically applied to form, arrangement and coloration of leaves,
plant growth habits, and many other details. There is little wonder that they are the fodder for
captivating design.
