Answer to Question 1

In dairy production, the primary goal is to achieve a high milk production from lactating cows. In addition, producing replacement heifers is important.

In beef production, the primary goal is to produce numbers of offspring to be grown for meat. In addition, milk production provides the early nutrition for the calves. The cow is the primary focus of reproductive management on most dairy farms with the bull the second part of the equation.

Answer to Question 2

The advantage of using a staple over a nail is that they will hold very thin pieces of wood better than
nails.
