Answer to Question 1

Coal (37 percent), natural gas (30 percent), nuclear power (19 percent).

Answer to Question 2

Fracking involves injecting water, chemicals, and either sand, glass beads, or aluminum balls under high pressure
through a drilled well to break up rocks underlying the surface. The pressure of the water cracks the rock and the
beads, sand, or aluminum balls keep the cracks open. There are numerous concerns as of the present time about
the impact of fracking on the environment. The first, and possibly most important concern involves potential
seepage of chemicals used in the fracking process into the groundwater. A second concern on the part of environmentalists
is the release of methane into the atmosphere
