Answer to Question 1

An estuary is an area where freshwater meets and mixes with saltwater. Estuaries have varying degrees of salinity,
depth, and temperature. They serve as a very important breeding area and provide safety to many forms of marine
life. The most common marine life in an estuary are oysters, clams, lobsters, crabs, and shrimp.

Answer to Question 2

Modern whaling techniques consist of a factory ship to process the whale meat, a fleet of catcher boats to locate

It is not a straight line, but "zig-zags" around various island chains. Therefore, Samoa and nearby islands have one date, while American Samoa and nearby islands are one day behind. Daylight saving time is used in some islands, but not in others—further shifting the hours out of sync with natural time.
