Answer to Question 1

The answer might vary for individuals. In general the options would be dumping it somewhere away from the home,
burying it, or burning it. Historically, most garbage has been buried. In recent times much trash has been burned;
then the residue was buried or dumped in a ditch or hole or down the side of a hill. Today, some of the waste materials
would probably be composted and recycled, but that would not be practical for the largest portion of the waste

Answer to Question 2

To avoid adding the paper to landfills
