Answer to Question 1

Anything that is not made by humans with which people come in contact and that can be used to perform
any useful function can be referred to as a natural resource. Some examples include: living objects such as
trees; creatures such as birds, fish, and mammals; nonliving substances like coal, copper, oil and even air
and water.



Answer to Question 2

As our population has grown and our technology has become more powerful, we have realized the limited nature
of these resources.
