A variety of types of lighting are used today for aesthetic purposes; some examples
include up lighting and down lighting. Up lighting is when light shines up at the base of
the tree or interesting object, highlighting that particular tree or object in the
landscape. Down lighting is when light shines down on a tree or interesting object,
creating an interesting shadow pattern on the ground.
