Answer to Question 1

If plants flower too early for Easter, they can be stored for up to 2 weeks in the dark at
31F (21C). Storage should start when the first bud begins to open after removing any
open flowers. Spray plants with Zineb (1/2 pound per 100 gallons of water) to protect
against botrytis. Remove plants from storage one full day before full bloom is desired.
Move plants to a shaded area to warm up before placing them in full sunlight in the
greenhouse.

Answer to Question 2

Caring for potted Easter lilies requires fertilizing plants with calcium nitrate and a slowrelease
nitrogen fertilizer; keeping the medium moist but never wet; maintaining good
air circulation around the plants; placing the plants in full light; and maintaining a
nighttime temperature of 60F (16C) and a daytime temperature of 70F (21C) before
bud formation
