What type of nozzle tip would you select when using abrasive materials (like fertilizers)? What nozzle tips last the longest? How would you go about checking a nozzle tip for wear?

Answer to Question 1

At a standard pressure, compare new and old nozzles of the same type and manufacturer by spraying into a graduated collection container using a stop watch; or use a TeeJet Tip Tester.

Answer to Question 2

Maintain exact pressure along with a proper walking speed using a uniform motion, a constant nozzle height, and angle.
