Answer to Question 1

The three main classes of salted soils are saline, sodic, and saline-sodic. These can be corrected by deflocculating the soil and then leaching the excess salts from the soil by drenching it with water containing low salts.

Answer to Question 2

Chemical burns are caused when a concentrated form of a caustic or toxic chemical kills the leaf tissue by poisoning or desiccating it.
