Answer to Question 1

Specialized grazing systems are most effective under the following condition:
a. Terrain is rugged.
b. Wildlife is an important consideration.
c. Water distribution is poor.
d. Poor distribution of precipitation over the range occurs within years

Answer to Question 2

Continuous grazing has worked on flat arid and semiarid rangelands that are well watered. It has also worked well the California annual grassland range type. Access to watering points can be rotated to minimize sacrifice areas in the shortgrass prairie and hot desert range types to minimize degradation of areas convenient to livestock.
