Answer to Question 1

1. I will use contraceptive measures while I am taking cytotoxic medications..

Rationale:
Treatment for SLE can include cytotoxic drugs. The client is taught to avoid pregnancy as these drugs can cause birth defects. The client is taught to avoid crowds as they are potential sources of infection. Clients with SLE should contact their primary care providers should signs of infection occur as the immune system is compromised. Taking aspirin and ibuproben can cause bleeding and should be taken with extreme care.

Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
