Answer to Question 1

B
Intradermal medications should be given at a 5 to 15 degree angle. Intramuscular injections should be given at a 90 degree angle. The nurse should avoid using the deltoid and dorsogluteal sites in infants and children because there is a risk of striking the sciatic nerve when using the dorsogluteal site and the deltoid muscle is not well developed in infants and children. The nurse should provide subcutaneous injections in the upper arm or abdominal areas.

Answer to Question 2

A
Negligence or breach of duty is the failure of an individual to provide care that a reasonable person would ordinarily use in a similar circumstance. Improper discharge of professional duties or failure to meet the standards of acceptable care which results in harm to another person is considered malpractice. An intentional and unlawful offer to touch a person in an offensive, insulting, or physically intimidating manner is considered assault. An obligation one has incurred or might incur through any act or failure to act is considered liability.
