Red blood cells are considered erythrocytes. White blood cells can be neutrophils, basophils, lymphocytes, eosinophils, monocytes, or plasma cells. Platelets are fragments of a seventh type of white blood cell found in the bone marrow. Plasma cells are a type of white blood cell.
