The goal of utilities management is to supply adequate air quality, lighting, water, and power to the patient care environment. Safety management minimizes the risk of injury to patient, visitors, and staff. Security management protects the physical and personal safety of staff with material and property safety secondary. Hazardous materials and waste management is the safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemical, radiological, and biologic materials and wastes.
