Answer to Question 1

B
Skilled care should be identified for each patient visit.

Answer to Question 2

C
The home safety risk appraisal for an adult would include firearms with safety latches, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers installed in the home, a nondrinking designated driver is chosen, emergency phone numbers are available, and caregivers know adult CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. Keeping the environment warm and free of drafts would be appropriate for an infant appraisal. Locking poisons in a cabinet would be appropriate for a toddler/preschooler appraisal. A shower stall seat would be appropriate for an older adult appraisal.

There can actually be a 25-hour time difference between certain locations in the world. The International Date Line passes between the islands of Samoa and American Samoa. It is not a straight line, but "zig-zags" around various island chains. Therefore, Samoa and nearby islands have one date, while American Samoa and nearby islands are one day behind. Daylight saving time is used in some islands, but not in others—further shifting the hours out of sync with natural time.
