Answer to Question 1

A
Heart defects are categorized according to blood flow patterns: (1) increased pulmonary flow, (2) decreased pulmonary flow, (3) obstructed blood flow out of the heart, and (4) mixed blood flow. The child's behavioral patterns, cardiac and respiratory function, fluid status, and growth and development should be assessed. Severe congenital heart defect can lead to the accumulation of fluids which can result in congestive heart failure.

Answer to Question 2

A

The number of people over the age of 65 in the years 2010 to 2030 will increase as these are the years the baby boomers will reach age 65.
