Class A fire extinguishers are ideal for fires caused by burning paper, wood, or cloth. Class B and C extinguishers are intended for flammable liquids and electrical fires, respectively. There is no class D of fire extinguishers. Class ABC extinguishers may be used on any type of fire.

Assist the client to a side-lying position using the side rail for support. While holding the bedpan with one hand, help the client roll onto the back, while pushing against the bedpan to hold it in place.
