Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
Histamine1 (H1) antagonists are contraindicated for use in patients with hypersensitivity, nar-row-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, stenosing peptic ulcers, or bladder neck obstruction, and in pregnant and nursing women (especially if the infant is premature).

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
H1 antagonists can produce false-negative results in allergy skin testing, so they should be dis-continued 72-96 hours before the test
