Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
Taking tetracycline with milk products reduces the drug's absorption, because tetracyclines bind with calcium to form an insoluble and nonabsorbable complex.
Taking tetracycline with food does not reduce absorption, it only reduces the rate of absorption.
High-fiber foods affect the absorption of digoxin, not tetracycline.
Taking the tetracycline at the same time everyday is important but does not inhibit absorption, therefore it is not a priority.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A, B
Calcium channel blockers and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors have been shown to reach increased and/or toxic levels when taken with grapefruit juice.
Aminoglycosides and beta blockers are not contraindicated with grapefruit juice.
