Only 10, not 25, of dietary iron is absorbed by the body.
Bananas and citrus fruits are not sources of iron.
Milk greatly reduces the absorption of iron. Also, the patient should not reduce the dose without the prescriber's order.

ANS: A
Spontaneous bleeding occurs most often in the joints, specifically the knee, followed by the elbow, ankle, shoulder, and hip. Joint bleeding causes swelling and intense pain. In addition to the joints, bleeding may occur in muscles, mucous membranes, the GI and urinary tracts, near the pharynx, and in the skull.
Hemophiliacs do not generally have spontaneous bleeding from the nose unless there had been some trauma to the nasal cavity area. There is no information in the question that gives this information. Also nasal bleeding is not painful and this patient is complaining of pain.
Spontaneous bleeding is not generally evident in the eyes and is not seen most frequently in the urine.
