Answer to Question 1

A, C, D, E
When a patient has peptic ulcer disease, not smoking is highly recommended because smoking slows ulcer healing; is related to ulcer recurrence; increases acid secretion; reduces prostaglandin, mucus, and bicarbonate production; and decreases mucosal blood flow.

Answer to Question 2

D
Systemic antifungal drugs have many common side effects, including loss of taste or changes in how food tastes. Unless this problem interferes with the patient's nutritional status, it is of no consequence. The patient should be reassured that the taste changes are an expected side effect and that normal taste sensation will return after the drug has been stopped after several days or a week.
